Israeli emergency services have said its crews treated five people who were injured in Tel Aviv and surrounding areas after Iran fired several rounds of missiles toward Israel.

Air raid sirens sounded across large parts of Israel, as continued missile fire from Iran injured at least five people in two barrages. Homes in Tel Aviv suburbs, including Ramat Gan, were damaged by debris from intercepted missiles.

Israel later carried out strikes in Beirut and Tyre, in Lebanon, saying it had targeted Iran-backed Hezbollah infrastructure, prompting evacuations and reports of widespread destruction.
