Should Africa ditch underperforming currencies?

African currencies continue to slump against major global currencies like the US dollar, the euro and the pound sterling. Most African governments have either redenominated or relaunched their currencies to address the issue. However, experts say the real solution lies in changing the structure of African economies from being import-driven to being more focused on manufacturing and exports.
