Singapore and Malaysia Co-operate on Development

May 16, 2007

Singapore has said it will work with Malaysia in a 77 billion euro development plan for a run-down state in southern Malaysia. The announcement came after talks aimed at rekindling warm relations between the two neighbours. Malaysia unveiled the ambitious plan to create an industrial and tourism zone in Johor state and to turn the state capital Johor Baru into a new Asian boom town last year.
