Germany is best known for its beer brewing tradition and wines, but the country is also home to some 40 whisky distilleries. One of them in the Brandenburg region surrounding Berlin makes the single malt Sloupisti whisky which has been declared one of the world's best in a Whisky Bible compiled by British expert Jim Murray.
