Soccer World Cup in South Africa: Siemens has contracts worth one billion euros

South Africa is rushing to complete infrastructure projects for next year's soccer World Cup. German engineering giant Siemens has contracts worth around 1- Bbillion euros there, mostly to expand and modernize South Africa's energy grid. And the Siemens subsidiary Osram will supply lights for almost all the World Cup Stadiums.
