Despite the harsh dry season in northern Ghana, the Kunkua women’s cooperative is thriving thanks to a solar‑powered drip irrigation system funded by the UN. Reliable water has boosted harvests, reduced poverty and migration, and improved food security. As Ghana plans wider solar irrigation, Kunkua shows how climate‑hit communities can adapt and grow.
