Some one and a half million volunteers are involved in Beijing - that's another Olympic record in itself. The helpers have a variety of jobs: young volunteers are used in the stadiums to help fire up the crowd and create a bit of atmosphere. Beijing's senior citizens, on the other hand, are busy as volunteer guards. They make up the biggest part of the volunteer group.
