Spain confirms Europe's first case of swine flu as fears of a world pandemic grow

Officials from the World Health Organization are holding emergency talks in Geneva at this hour to discuss whether to raise its pandemic alert over the swine flu outbreak in Mexico. The meeting was brought forward from Tuesday as fears grew that the disease is spreading fast. 103 people have died in Mexico itself and cases have been confirmed in the United States, Canada and Spain.
