Germany's Social Democrats have wrapped up their party congress in the northern city of Hamburg, ending with a show of unity and calls for solidarity. On the final day of the three-day gathering, delegates voted in favour of a new political programme that involves a significant shift to the left. The policy statement was voted through by a large majority of delegates at the conference.
