SPD party conference: Social Democrats argue about privatisation of Deutsche Bahn - je 27.10.2007 16

Party conferences are supposed to be all about demonstrating solidarity. And at Germany's Social Democratic Party's Congress now taking place in Hamburg, that certainly was the message in yesterday's re-election of Kurt Beck as party leader. But today, the mood was rebellious, as the controversial issue of railway privitisation was on the agenda. Many SPD members don't want to hand-over the Deutsche Bahn to private investors.
