The Citaro redefines standards of economy, safety, comfort and emissions for modern commercial buses. It packs a new inline 6-cylinder engine with a 7.7-liter displacement, 220 kW of power, and a peak torque of 1,200 Nm. It already meets the stipulations of the Euro VI norm. Double-layer capacitors store energy from the overrun phase - when the gas pedal isn’t engaged. This process alone reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by more than 2%.
