Striking for higher pay: GDL says train drivers in Germany earn about 1,500 euros a month after tax - je 05.10.07

Train drivers at state owned rail operator Deutsche Bahn are striking for higher pay. The head of the GDL union, Manfred Schell has called on Deutsche Bahn to present an offer by the beginning of next week. The GDL says train drivers in Germany earn about 1,500 euros a month after tax. And that it's not enough. +++SYN-MAZ+++
