Students Sentenced in Abuse Case

April 27, 2004
Four technical school students in Hanover will see legal consequences from their abuse of a fellow student: The four 17-year-old youths were sentenced to probation by a juvenile court for committing dangerous bodily harm, a speaker for the court said on Tuesday. Over the course of months, they had beaten a fellow student in a classroom workshop, at times using a rubber hammer. Teachers said they knew nothing of the events. The main culprit received a sentence of one and a half years probation. He must also complete a six month anti-aggression course and pay €400 ($475) to a violence prevention association.
