Thomas Galasek put Nürnberg ahead but Reiner Plasshenrich got the equaliser for aachen in the very last minute of the match

BAYER LEVERKUSEN 2 BAYERN MUNICH 3

Bayern struck twice in the last seven minutes to snatch a victory they desperately needed and just about deserved. The Bavarians had led through a neat strike from Hasan Salihamidzic only for Stefan Kiessling to equalise just after the break and Athirson to put Leverkusen ahead with 10 minutes to go. That goal stung Bayern into action and they came away with the points thanks to a Martin Demichelis header and a Claudio Pizarro drive.

FRANKFURT 0 ARMINIA BIELEFELD 3

Eintracht Frankfurt's usual defensive solidity deserted them as Bielefeld maintained their excellent start to the season. Artur Wichniarek got the opening goal in the 26th minute, after Jonas Kamper had stolen the ball from Alexander Meier and sent in a sliding pass. Sibusiso Zuma struck the second just past the hour mark and Marcel Ndjeng completed a comfortable afternoon's work for Bielefeld six minutes from time.

HAMBURG 1 MOENCHENGLADBACH 1

Hamburg missed a good chance to claim a second win of the season as they allowed Gladbach a late equaliser. Danijel Ljuboja had put the home side ahead with a header from Timothee Atouba's cross in the 66th minute. Hamburg were clearly the better side but instead of looking to build on the lead they sat back and paid the price when Oliver Neuville fired into the roof of the net six minutes from time.

HERTHA BERLIN 3 VfL BOCHUM 3

Hertha had high hopes of moving back to within three points
of the leaders but defensive lapses meant they were grateful
even for a draw. Hertha took an early lead via an exquisite goal from Marko Pantelic, who chipped in from outside the area for his eigth of the season. Bochum equalised in the 39th minute with a Theofanis Gekas header from a corner and the visitors moved ahead on the stroke of halftime when Sofian Chahed lost the ball to Gekas, who crossed for Zvjezdan Misimovic to tap in. A free kick from Misimovic early in the second half made it 3-1 to Bochum but Dick van Burik got one back with a header soon afterwards and a late strike from Andreas Neuendorf levelled things up.

SCHALKE 4 MAINZ 0

Schalke moved level on points with leaders Werder Bremen with a performance of swaggering confidence. Kevin Kuranyi popped in the first for Schalke in the 13th minute when he ran on to a long ball from Gustavo Varela, beat one defender and poked in his shot. Rafinha raced forward and set up Halil Altintop for the second in the 22nd minute and Kuranyi headed in the third 10 minutes later. Altintop matched Kuranyi by getting his second of the match in the 67th minute.

VfL WOLFSBURG 0 ENERGIE COTTBUS 0

Cottbus had by far the better of the chances but could find no way past Wolfsburg's excellent keeper Simon Jentzsch. Wolfsburg are now unbeaten in five games and stay just ahead of Cottbus in eighth place.

WERDER BREMEN 1 BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3

On Friday, Werder suffered their third defeat of the season, and their first since mid-September, as a fitter Dortmund side overpowered them. Werder fell behind in the seventh minute when Alexander Frei pounced on a mistake from Clemens Fritz. Miroslav Klose zig-zagged through the defence to score an exceptional equaliser but Brazilian midfielder Tinga was left free at a corner to restore the Dortmund lead nine minutes after the break. Dortmund made certain when Marc-Andre Kruska netted a
penalty five minutes from time following a foul on Nelson
Valdez.
