Swine Flu Sparks Row Between China and Mexico

04/05/09May 4, 2009

Mexico accused China of discriminating against Mexicans as part of its measures to control swine flu on Monday. The Chinese authorities have reportedly quarantined at least 71 Mexicans since a traveller from Mexico was found to have the H1N1 virus on Friday. Mexico has sent a chartered plane to bring home its nationals from China. China rejected Mexico's criticism and said its measures were also applicable to other nationalities.
