Germany has begun to address a series of racially motivated murders with the start of the trial of those linked to the ultra-rightist NSU. Many Germans say they hope this will improved their country’s tarnished image. At the same time, most Germans say coexisting with people with e.g. Turkish roots is unproblematic.
