In the 1990s, German entrepreneur Franz Sedelmayer invested in a major new facility in St. Petersburg. But in 1994, Russian President Boris Yeltsin ordered its confiscation. Sedelmayer embarked on a long battle to force Russia to pay its debt - with some success.
