Taliban officials say a Pakistani airstrike on a Kabul drug treatment center killed 400 people and injured 250. Pakistan acknowledged striking the Afghan capital but insists it targeted only military sites.

Flames tore through a hospital in Afghanistan's capital Kabul after an airstrike that Taliban officials blamed on Pakistan, saying it hit a drug rehab center and killed hundreds.

Pakistan denied targeting civilians, calling its strikes "precise" attacks on militant sites.

The escalation comes amid rising cross‑border tensions and renewed United Nations calls for de‑escalation and an independent probe into the attack.
