In 1997 the Toyota Prius was the first production car to feature a hybrid motor. Today it’s in its third generation and continuing to scoop awards for its green credentials.

In all-electric mode it has a range of around 25 kilometers, and a top speed of 85 km/h. One tank of gasoline will give you a total range of up to 1,200 km. Official fuel stats are just 2.1 liters per 100 kilometers. Drive it! examines the Prius’ everyday prowess.
