Deutsche Telekom, the German telecoms giant, has no intention of selling its mobile phone operations in the United States, T-Mobile USA chairman Kai-Uwe Ricke said in a newspaper interview released Friday. "America is and remains the growth driver for us," Ricke told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in a pre-release of an interview to be published on Saturday. "There is no reason to sell. On the contrary, we're preparing the next phase," he said. "That means that, among other things, we'll participate in the bidding in the tender for new frequencies next year."
