Mini driver Orlando Terranova was the quickest to cover the 321-kilometer stretch from Opoqueri to Uyuni, Bolivia. His time was 3 hours, 31 minutes and 18 seconds. It was the Argentinian's third stage win of this year - although he is out of contention for the overall title.

Saudi Arbia Yazeed Alrajhi, who drives for Toyota, was 2 minutes and 20 seconds back in second place. Teammate and Dutchman Ten Brinke was eight seconds slower in third place.

Overall leader Nasser al Attiyah of Mini had a poor day at the poffice - or rather: desert - finishing 9 minutes and 48 seconds behind Terranova.

He saw his advantage over second-placed Giniel de Villiers of Toyota cut to 8 minutes and 14 seconds. The South African driver finished sixth on the day in stage seven.

On Sunday, the competitors will face a 784-kilometer stage from Iquique to Uyuni.
