In February, Mazda presented the new notchback sedan version of its Mazda 3. At 4.58 meters in length, it’s 12 centimeters longer than the hatchback, and can hold a hefty 419 liters in the trunk.

We test the SKYACTIV-G gasoline engine with 88 kilowatts of power, which in its base model sells for just a bit over 21,000 in Germany. Mazda hopes that its pepped-up design and good value will make it a popular car in the compact category.
