Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are the car industry's number one concern these days. As an innovative car maker, Porsche wants to stay ahead of the pack here, too. Following the Panamera, the Cayenne crossover SUV is Porsche’s next model to be offered as a plug-in hybrid.

With an additional electric motor the Cayenne S E-hybrid packs 306 kilowatts of power and has a range of 36 kilometers in emission-free, e-drive mode. At a workshop, Porsche gave auto journalists an opportunity to make up their own minds about the hybrid Cayenne. Drive it! was there and posed the question: Do Porsche and plug-in really go together?
