VW has sold around 14 million Polos since launching the car in 1975. Now it's given the fifth generation a technological facelift.

A post-collision braking system is standard on the new Polo, with the City Emergency Braking system among the options. Re-designed engines reduce fuel consumption by up to 21%, the best being the Polo TDI with 55 kW of power. It uses just 3.1 liters per 100 kilometers, making it the most efficient five-seater diesel passenger car in its class. The facelifted Polo starts at €12,450 in Germany.
