Thai-Cambodian border violence erupts amid Trump peace deal

Just weeks after a US-brokered ceasefire, fresh violence has broken out between Thailand and Cambodia along a long-disputed stretch of their shared frontier.

Renewed clashes have erupted along the Thai-Cambodian border, just weeks after a US-brokered peace deal. Both sides accuse each other of violating the truce, with Thailand claiming Cambodia opened fire first and Cambodia demanding international condemnation of Thai "illegal actions." 

The disputed frontier, marked by ancient temples and unclear boundaries, has seen decades of tension. Recent shelling has displaced tens of thousands as fears of wider conflict grow.
