Thai capital remains tense after a series of blasts leaves up to three dead and dozens wounded

Reports from Thailand say the "red shirt" protest movement has offered to open talks with the government. The movement's leader has reportedly dropped their demand for parliament to be dissolved immediately - offering instead a 1-month timeframe. The red shirts have been holding large scale anti-government protests for the past six weeks. On Thursday night, grenade attacks hit Bangkok's financial district.
