Thailand, Cambodia accuse each other of targeting civilians

In border villages just beyond the front lines, residents on both sides of the border just want fighting to stop. Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced in both countries and there are fears the conflict could drag on.

Tensions are high on the Thai-Cambodian border as villages empty amid heavy artillery fire. In Ban Bung Malu, local security forces patrol abandoned homes while hospitals treat victims of rocket attacks. Both sides accuse each other of targeting civilians as hundreds of thousands flee. Evacuees demand peace and political change, fearing the long-running territorial dispute could drag on for years.
