The Belarus electoral commission says Alexander Lukashenko won re-election with over 80 percent of the vote in Sunday’s election.

But the main opposition candidate Alexander Milinkevich,has called for the results to be annulled. The United States and European Union threatened further sanction if the vote is considered unfair.
