The Dalai Lama Negotiates Future of Tibet

The Dalai Lama sent his special envoy to China earlier this week for the latest round of negotiations about the future of Tibet. Although the Tibetans in exile have said they no longer seek independence, the Chinese government seems reluctant to really engage with the issue. Despite the difficulties, many Tibetans are hopeful their political and spiritual leader will soon be able to return to his homeland.
