Niger’s military has toppled the democratically elected president of the country, riding on back of anti-France sentiments among citizens. Already Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso, former French colonies where the army is in control have denounced France, but is anti-France sentiment a camouflage for the soldiers to seek their own political interest?
