Hanover start-up Peat has developed an app that enables users to identify fungal attacks and other plant diseases. "Plantix" compares a photo of the ailing plant with the corresponding database. It can now recognize and combat around 60 plant diseases. 30,000 people now use Plantix every month. Following a successful start in Germany, the app is now being tested in India and Brazil.
