Countess Bettina Bernadotte, the President of the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, is Germany’s queen of science. Every year she invites top researchers from all over the world to the southern German town. The focus in 2014 is on medicine.

For five days, 37 Nobel Laureates and 600 young researchers will take part in lectures, discussions and seminars - and Countess Bernadotte is in the middle of the action. Our reporter talks to her about what it’s like to be surrounded by so many brilliant minds.
