This year Earth Hour is at 8:30pm on 24 March 2018. Around the globe, millions of people, businesses and landmarks switch off their lights for climate protection. For while artificial light gives us extra hours for our activities, it comes at a price: Artificial light accounts for more than 20 percent of the world's electricity consumption.
