International mediators say they would try to re-start the stalled Middle East peace process. Representatives of the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Russia met in Moscow to discuss a new set of proposals. The meeting took place amid new violence in the region. Israeli aircraft attacked several targets in Gaza overnight, in response to a rocket attack on Thursday.
