At 950 meters, the Wasserkuppe is Hessen’s highest mountain. In the winter, visitors trade their hiking boots for snowshoes to enjoy the peace and calm of the summit shrouded in fog. To make sure they don’t get lost, the tours are always led by mountain guides.
