The Ukrainian Parliament has elected Yulia Tymoshenko as the country's new prime minister. The pro-American politician edged through with a one vote majority in the 450 seat chamber. Tymoshenko won the ballot after receiving the support of president Viktor Yushchenko. It's her second term in office. She's led the government before - after the Orange Revolution of 2004 - which saw parties backed by Washington defeat parties more closely allied to Moscow.
