Israel has rejected calls for an international enquiry into its raid on a flotilla of aid ships travelling to Gaza. However it said it would be prepared to conduct its own investigation with the participation of outsiders. Meanwhile, three Turkish planes from Tel Aviv landed at Istanbul this morning with hundreds of activists from the Turkish-led flotilla. The Israeli military said the deaths occurred when commandos stormed the cruise ship, the Mavi Marmara.
