Three british researchers travel to North pole on feet

Three British explorers have set out on skis for the North Pole which they expect to reach in about three months. On the way they plan to take detailed measurements of the ice to find out exactly how fast it is disappearing. Some experts have predicted that due to global warming, the Arctic Ocean could be ice free as soon as 2013.
