China continues to come under international pressure to ease its clampdown on Tibet. At the United Nations' human rights forum, the European Union called on Beijing to lift its curbs on movement and communications inside Tibet and to cease using force. France has also raised the possiblity that it will boycott the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olymics this summer.
