From Hong Kong to Latin America, people all over the world are taking to the streets. The protests differ vastly in their demands - but what do they have in common? Our guests: Jannis Grimm (Protest Researcher), Rick Noack (Washington Post), Raghida Bahnam (freelance journalist)

Freelance journalist Raghida Bahnam from Lebanon. He says: “We are witnessing a global youth rebellion not seen since 1968. And people in the Middle East are finally breaking the fear barrier.”

Rick Noack from the Washington Post. He argues that: "Protesters share their frustrations over political systems that don't work in their favor, but the solutions to their concerns differ vastly."

Jannis Grimm, Research Associate at the Institute for Protest and Social Movement Studies here in Berlin. He believes that: “The global protests underline the level of frustration among younger generations about the failure of elites to come up with answers to the problems of our time.”
