Treating Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a condition that causes the skin to lose its natural pigmentation. It's believed to result from too little of the enzyme catalase in the skin. Researchers at the Institute for Pigmentary Disorders in Greifswald have developed a cream that can replace the missing catalase. It works in combination with a special UV light.
