Men's caps became popular in Sicily in the early 20th century and were made famous in films such as "The Godfather" starring Al Pacino. The headwear has been rediscovered by fashion designers who are incorporating the Sicilian-style flat caps - called a 'coppola' in Italian - into their collections. One manufacturer is La Coppola Storta based in Palermo.
