US President Donald Trump and China's President Xi Jinping have begun high-level talks in Beijing, marking the first visit of a US president to China since 2017. Like back then, Xi welcomed Trump with an elaborate ceremony, saying both sides should be "partners, not rivals." Trump echoed the cordial tone.
