US President Donald Trump has called the ambush on two National Guard soldiers an act of terror. Officials say the suspect is a 29-year-old Afghan national. The Trump administration now plans to suspend Afghan immigration.

Two US National Guard soldiers are in critical condition after an ambush near the White House. The suspect, a 29-year-old Afghan man, was wounded and arrested. US President Donald Trump called the attack an act of terror and announced that all Afghan immigration requests will be immediately suspended. Officials say the suspect entered the US in 2021 under a program for Afghans fleeing the Taliban.
