Trump orders DHS only to intervene if cities ask for help

US President Donald Trump appears to be taking a step back from deploying federal agents in Democrat-led cities. In Italy meanwhile, protests were held against the use of ICE agents for Olympic security.

On his platform Truth Social, US President Donald Trump announced that he has ordered the Department of Homeland Security not to intervene in "protests and/or riots" in Democratic-led cities unless local leaders ask for help.

Protests against ICE are meanwhile spreading beyond the US, with In Italy meanwhile, hundreds protesting in Italy against the use of ICE agents for the protection of US politicians during the upcoming Winter Olympics.
