Trump sends conflicting messages on Iran war

After a few days, the US president suggested the war would be wrapped up within four to five weeks. He has also been saying the US could expand its operations. What does Donald Trump actually want to achieve in Iran?

"Right now, if the war were over tomorrow, the Iranian people are in worse condition than if Trump had never launched a war," Ian Bremmer from the Eurasia Group told DW. Asked about the Trump administration's objectives in this war, he said: "Originally, they wanted Venezuela redux. There's only one problem: It turns out that Iran is not Venezuela."
