Welcome back. Government leaders from around the world have been calling for an urgent reform of global financial institutions. Just four days ago about a dozen leaders brought together by British Prime Minster Gordon Brown issued a communique urging the International Monetary Fund to help develop an effective early warning system for global economic risks. Today the Institute of International Finance is meeting in Frankfurt and is expected to issue its recommendations on how to address the turbulence in the international banking sector.
