The breakdown of traditional family structures and the steady increase in single parenthood in Germany - coupled with the economic downturn - has pushed hundreds of thousands of mothers and their children below the poverty line. The German constitutional Court took this into account last week when it ruled that current welfare payments earmarked for parents with children are too low. Here's a look at a day in the life of a single mother in Berlin.
