The Elbe Tunnel is Hamburg's most important traffic artery. Around 120,000 cars roll though it every day. 24 technicians are on hand round the clock to make sure the tunnel, which runs under the River Elbe, is properly maintained. They ensure that traffic in one of the world's longest underwater tunnels flows smoothly.
