Turkey passes new law to round up stray dogs

The Turkish parliament has passed a law to round up an estimated 4 million stray dogs and place them in shelters. Under the new legislation, any dog showing signs of aggressive behaviour or disease will be put down. Animal rights activists have been rallying against the bill for weeks.
